A guide to … MUFF DIVING
Before any diving session, always ensure your equipment is clean and in good condition. Muff diving is usually undertaken with a colleague or “Diving Buddy”.
1. Establish who is “diver” and who is “divee”.
2. The divee adopts a comfortable, accessible position.
3.The diver arranges him/herself in a similarly comfortable position with the mouth within easy reach of the divee’s apparatus.
4. The mouthpiece should fit snugly without hampering breathing.
5. Once all preliminaries are taken care of, the diver should gently immerse to a comfortable depth. When the divee has had enough, it is customary for the diver to cease and take a cigarette. After any long diving session, always wash your equipment down with clean water.
